Issues of Linguistics (ISSN: 1512-0473) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published under the auspices of the University Publishing Council of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU). Founded in 1999 by the eminent scholars Thomas Gamkrelidze and Zurab Sarjveladze, the journal serves as a primary venue for the TSU Educational-Scientific Institute of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics to disseminate rigorous linguistic research.

The journal aims to foster an advanced scholarly dialogue by publishing original research that contributes to the evolution of linguistic theory and the practical application of all fields of linguistics and linguistic data. Scope of Publication:
Issues of Linguistics welcomes submissions across a broad spectrum of linguistic inquiry. Our scope includes, but is not limited to:
- Theoretical Linguistics: phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics, with an emphasis on structural and cognitive approaches.
- Applied Linguistics: Research concerning language pedagogy, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, and computational linguistics.
- Historical and Comparative Linguistics: Investigations into language evolution, etymology, and the genetic relationship between language families, particularly within the Caucasian and Indo-European contexts.
- Kartvelian Studies: Specialized research focusing on the history, structure, and dialectology of the Kartvelian linguistic world.
- Typological Studies: Comparative analysis of linguistic features across diverse language groups to identify universal patterns.

All manuscripts will undergo the plagiarism check, double blind peer-review and must be approved by the Editorial Board prior to publication.
